As we begin a new school year, it is also time to elect a new batch of members to our School Council. As per Regulation 612, the role of school council is to work together in an advisory role to engage community partners for the improvement of student achievement and well-being, while promoting a caring, safe and nurturing learning environment.
The deadline set by the SCDSB for nominations to be received by the school administration is September 22nd. If you are interested in being part of the School Council team for the 2020-21 school year, please email the attached form with your information to email@example.com the end of the day Monday, September 21st.
Following the collection of these forms, we will schedule our elections, which must take place by Wednesday, October 7th. We are awaiting direction on how our election procedures and School Council meetings will occur and are expecting a virtual format for at least the start of this school year.
